2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission dash panel removal

i want to run my cb off of my cigarette lighter but can't get the panel off to access the back. short of cutting it apart how do i remove it?

If you're talking about the trim around the instruments and such... ... CAREFULLY start pulling at the edges of the trim ring and the tabs holding the ring on will pop loose. Work around the edges of the ring as the tabs let go. You will eventually get the ring completely off. Be patient, there are several tabs holding it on. But please... . BE CAREFULL! It is very easy to break the thin plastic ring. It's pretty flexible, but too much flex and it will let go. Hose this helps!
