I'm swapping out my EZ for a TST unit. I didn't install the EZ so I'm not sure of the original configuration of the data link connector. Right now the EZ plugs into the connector and there is another connector hanging loose next to it. Reading the instructions for installing the EZ, it sounds like the data link connector is not connected to anything in stock form... ?? Any help?

Thought about piggybacking the units but I want to see if the TST alone will help my shudder problem. If I were to piggyback the units, how would I do it?

Not sure what year truck you have, but on my 2002 the data link connector isn't plugged into anything. It just has a plug in the connector- so dirt, water, etc. gets in. Hope this helps.

SEmerson,On the earlier trucks the data link connector is up front near the vacuum pump. with a couple different configurations

The data plug on my truck was down by the power steering pump, had to really search for it. As stated above, it's capped. Just remove the cap and plug in the EZ.

To piggyback the ez and tst boxes, run the tst into the map sensor, then the ez off the tst harness and the OEM plug off the ez harness.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just unhook the EZ and plug/tape up the data link connector.

If the TST alone doesn't fix the shudder I'll go ahead and piggyback the EZ in and just continue bucking on down the road!
