Data Link / ODB port not working(shutdown?)

Okay,



I have always been able to use my Harrison scantool to get and clear the codes.



Now, when I plug in I get nothing. I went to a friend/mechanic of mine and his scanner won't read mine either.



Both tools work on another DC truck in his shop.



He believes that somehow it has shut down the port and that I need to look not in the service manual but the PCM & drivetrain manual (that neither he nor I have)



Anyone ever heard of this or know how to fix it. I'd hate to ask the dealer.

Have you tried sending a e-mail to Harrison, It was my understanding when I bought his product that he does answer his e-mail especially when it is tech problems.



I would also like to know if this is going to happen to me.
