Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Data link plug broken/electrical repair

The Van Aakken male data link plug "clip" broke. I have the original blank and it looks like I can remove the little rubber plugs and insert 2 electrical pins. But what are they and where would I get them?

might be easier to use a small zip tie around the length of the connector once it is in position.

a good electronics store that deals in component level pieces and parts should have all of the pins and extractor tools you would need. take the bad harness to make sure you get the right stuff.
