Ordered truck from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho on 12/15/03 and after an 18 week wait finally picked it up on 4/23/04. I was concerned about the Cal emissions because I have been reading on this and another forum that only border states could place an order with the YCF option, so although it was on my invoice I checked the engine ID and sure enough it was CARB.

I highly recomend Dave Smith to all fellow TDR members, they are honest and straight foreward with the way they do business. My truck's MSRP was over 41K, went out the door for 33. 2K (before dealer added options and tax). That was the price they gave me with none of the usual nonsense with the nice guy, then the high pressure guy. Many of the dealers here in So Cal use the dealer markup trick (above MSRP) and then deal from that point, that's what lead me to check some out of state dealers.

My wife and I flew to Spokane where the dealer's van picked us up for the one hour ride to Idaho. We spent a week coming home and drove 2000 miles, final computer average MPG was 15. 5. I didn't do the hand calc.

Truck ran great and did not experience any of the negative things that some have reported. No vibes, pull to right, smell in cab, cruise surge. It does have tape over the holes under the doors though.

Very impressed with the power and torque, I used the cruise most of the time and never had to downshift for hills on the interstate, pulled the Grapevine (5 mile 6% grade) in 6th at 65-70 with no sweat.
