Dave Smith getting 50 trucks

Just got off the phone with with Mike Larsen at Dave Smith. They have 50 trucks on their way to the dealership. They should be there around Thanksgiving or a little earlier. Oo.

I ordered mine from DSM. Couldn't have asked for a more competent dealership. The registration process went perfect. The lady at the DMV sees DSM trucks for San Diego residents come through frequently. I had the truck here in 29 days. I wish they'd open a store here.

No, the diesel engine is too heavy for an all terrain vehicle. The front end could bog down in the mud.

The Carli/Thuren equipped trucks seem to do pretty well in Baja/desert environments. Seems like the extreme torque of the Cummins breaks components rather than bogs them down. As rar as rockcrawling,nothing beats a rockcrawler.

From what I understand there is also the issue of the Power Wagon intragated winch not fitting on the CTD due to the intercooler.

With the price of the PW, adding a diesel would make it very expensive and, as mentioned, no winch. It'd be cheaper and perform much better to buy a CTD and call Carli, Thruen, or Lorenz and fix it up right. Too heavy to perform off road? Surely you jest.

Saw a new truck in Missoula MT. on 19 With Dave Smith License plate. I,m sure it was a 2500.

Marty at Dave Smith called me last week telling me the same thing about the 2010s that are at the dealer. He said they are all 2500s with the ST package and they're all crewcabs. Some are shortbeds, some are longbeds. Some are 2WD, some are 4WD. But one thing about the ST package is you can now get power windows and door locks and carpet on the floor with that package so if you want the floor shift transfercase and power windows and door locks, you'll have to get the ST. All 2010 4WD SLTs and Laramies will come standard with the electronic shift tcase even with the manual transmission.

I wonder if power driver's seats are available on the ST. I had to upgrade to the SLT in '07 in order to get the power driver's seat.

That I am not sure of. I went to my local Dodge dealer to check out the two 2101 2500s they had on the lot and one of them was an ST that had PW, PDL, cruise control, and carpet on the floor but nobody would unlock it for me so I could see it up close.

Saw two 2010 Heavy Duty 2500 Dodge trucks with the Cummins engine at Melloy Dodge in Albuquerque today. Other than the crew cab and the two bins in the rear floor, I wasn't all that impressed, especially with the sticker price.

One of my kid's said he saw a 2010 crew cab long bed on a transport going south on I-15 last friday. Going in the opposite direction of course



My local dealership didn't have any when i drove past a couple weeks ago. I'd like to see one in person instead of all the internet and magazine pictures.

I've never paid sticker price for any vehicle or RV. I usually pay MSRP plus or minus 1 or 2 hundred. However, the higher the sticker price, the higher the MSRP. See what I'm getting at?

Dealers I have spoke to here in Connecticut said they are still 2 weeks away from getting any trucks, and when they do get them 75% will be Hemi's
