HELP! Brake Warning Light Problem

I ordered and tried to install a RWD automatic 3. 9inch deep cast pan from mopar performance parts. DC parts man ordered p#4876444 and stamped on the casting it states P4532881. This will not fit on my GDB coded transmission. It is too tight on the left side. Has anyone installed one of this pans? Should P#4876444 fit? The pan is well made. Any info on this subject would be appreciated.

The part number that you stated (4876444) is the correct number. There is a bracket inside the transmission that needs to be removed and ground down about 1/8" or so in order for the pan to fit. There was some discussion in the products forum a while back about exactly what needs to be done to make the pan fit properly, but I looked and can't find it. Seems like it might have been the bracket for the governor solenoid.

They had to grind the same bracket off on mine. After that, it fit perfectly.

Zman, thanks for the info. I think I will tape if off and grind in place. I think that Mopar Performance should have inserted a info sheet to inform installers of the mod required. Thanks again Rob
