Hi Folks,
I have a couple of questions about the Lubrication Engineers product "DCI+".

1. Does anyone know the distributor that would be closest to RI? I know that anywhere in the country is OK, am thinking of saving on shipping costs.

2. Fuel/water separation. This product supposedly separates the two in the fuel tank. If so, any water would never make it to the fuel/water separator so it could be drained off. If any water is constantly separated and held in tank, what will eventually happen to tank? Couldn't this eventually lead to a situation where you have a (let's say) tank that is 50% water and 50% fuel?

3. If that happens, wouldn't you eventually be drawing nothing but water and gradually lose the useful capacity of the fuel tank?

I apologize in advance if any of these questions sound dumb, but I really don't know and would like more info before trying the product.

These are not dumb questions, they are good ones. First the DCI+ will not drop the water out of your tank. It will help your water seperater take it all out.

Second e-mail me and I'll look up and see if there is an LE rep in your area that could take care of you.

Sincerely, Kevin

Kevin,
I remember in a post of your's a while back you stated that adding the correct amount to the fuel tank (ie 4 ounces) the water would remain in the tank, and you suggested to use the DCI+ at half dosage to bring the water up to the WIF separator. Is this still correct thinking?

Every third tank or so I been using only 2 ounces per tank full to allow the water to be brought to the WIF separator. What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Ryan

Cooker,
Since that statement, I have done some investagating and have found out that the DCI+ will not have a problem with leaving any water in your tank while using it at full strength (4oz to 30 gallons).

Sincerely, Kevin

Thanks Kevin. I will feel a little better having it at full strength in every tank. Just a little peace of mind for me.
