DD clutch from a 5-spd work in 6-spd??

There are a few DD clutches for sale that are from 5-speed trucks. What is required for them to work in a 6-speed?

Well if its a South Bend you need a different flywheel.



My clutch came out of a 04. 5/sixer I was sending it back to Peter for a once over anyways but he had to swap me for a flywheel so it would work in my truck.

Thanks for the reply! I was able to find a little more info on here after a couple hours of searching threads. I was bidding on a Haisley Street Puller DD with 1000miles on it and one hook. I was also able to get ahold of Patty at HM late last night and she anwered my questions. Their clutches will fit the 6-speed and if you have a 5-speed, they provide a starter spacer.



Anyway, I am the proud owner of a HMR street puller DD now!! I got a super deal, hopefully it is as good as advertised!!

Congrats I have a couple of friends in Northern Kentucky that run those clutches in their everyday driven trucks..... the drive in... pull... drive home... and usually place in the top 5-10 consistantly

Sweet!! I am not going to be pulling with it, but I will be playing on the street and wanted a clutch that could handle 500+hp and 1000+tq without a problem. I can't wait for the third gear launches!!!
