I just finished installing DDIIs and "WOW" . I had to turn the Comp box down. I have an incredible increase in power :D . If you are thinking injectors or a box, now I would recommend injectors then a box. This is too much fun :) . Thanks for your guidence Rob. Sam

Dawg, I have the same response since replacing my 275s with DD2s. A major power increase plus it runs much smoother and the resonance that came at 2200 RPM is gone. I think this may be because the DD2s are better matched and provide even fueling to each cylinder.

I don't know how DD2s would work without a fueling box but I have a moderate amount of smoke which for me is just right. The EGTs will hit 1400- 1500 pretty quick but by that time I'm going too fast anyway and have to let up. I am not towing now but if I was I would have to be very careful with the EGT.

I have a place approximately 1/4 mile long that I test my truck. When it was stock I could get 70 mph, with Banks Stinger plus 80mph, 275s I got 85mph, with DD2s it was flying past 95mph. My truck has 85K miles and is running better than ever and I'm all :D:D:D

Dawg, another benefit of the DDII's is the lower EGT compared to the smaller DDI. For some reason the spray pattern causes this effect. Ask Lawrence, the DDII is the ideal injector.

On another subject, I might be getting transferred to the Seattle area. I was wondering if the rain and overcast sky is really as bad as they say it is?

Glad you love em,Sam. You know,I've been raving injectors as a better upgrade over boxes for a long time. They have way better manners and better EGTs.

2000ney, It's not as bad as people think. It's not that wet around here.

Hey Jim,

I will have it next week. Piers said it would be in the week of Sept. 10th :D . I should have the same one as you.

2000ney,

The weather and all the stuff to do its great up here. I lived in the mid west for a while and then came back home.

Very cool Sam  At the Diesel Thunder event I coulda swore your truck had a "Feed Me DD2s!!" expression written all over its face :D Now we might have to square off at Dyno Day :

I'm glad Rob was able to help you out with the install, he loves those injector jobs :)

Hey Rob you said you owed me a beer ;)

Help me... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Thank God for a great transmission

Wet??

MikeR

Wow!! Has it been two or three years since there were 90 days straight of measuable precipitation at SEATAC ("Seattle's" airport, for those not familiar with the area)? :D :D Getting older and finding it harder to remember things.

++++

2000ney,

In all seriousness, Seattle is one of the best places to live IMO. :) I like the extra sunshine days in the NE but I miss the NW. When the weather is good there, it's great. When it's bad, it's better than most places. Try it! I think you'll like it.

Damn You Sam!

Sam I just got my PE COMP installed because you told me how awesome it was... ... ... ... ..... Well you were right!! Now your telling me that DDII's are awesome??? Thanks Sam, you can expext to see my 275's to be up for sale in the NEAR future. I will be asking Rob for his help as well most likely.

I do agree that DDII'2 are better for EGT's becasue I drove 24VL-DSL truck at timberline and his egts seemed to go down alot faster then mine and we had the same mods except I had 275's. That was the first thing I noticed.
