DD "Juiced" VP44

Anyone know how much DD is selling their modded VP44 similar to the one that CUMMINTSTRKN has in his rig? Is it an in-house only install? I have an ETC, would a 50hp gain be reasonable from it?

For some reason, DD is not responding to my e-mails... .

It aint for sale yet. Several are out as "test" for R&D, but you will not be able to get one now. I really think the gain depends on how much power you already have. on a 450-600hp engine, then yes I would think 50hp would be normal.

Its not that exspensive. But it is best to start with a brand new pump. That way you at least know the pump is good and won't go out the next day after the upgrade, they can't really warrentee it either. And an exchange program wouldn't work very well because you'd be playing roullette with pumps... ... I sure as heck wouldn't want someone elses pump.

Even if it was $5,000 I garenteee you they would still be able to sell it. You shouldn't so hard on DD considering you don't have any first hand experience with their products. Just curious have you ever talked to Lawrence? Or Mark? I'd be willing to bet your whole outlook on DD would change if you did.

I bet you would be suprised how I really feel about DD Kat because apperantly you have no clue. I concider them for the most part, THE leader in 24v technology. I have only the HIGHEST respect for them. I have endorsed them MANY times.



Just because I also praise EE, I know they DD is VERY good at what they do.

On edit, $5k is more then the Cummins engine option when you buy the truck, and I know that they would strill sell them. I relalize also that this price does include some heavy R&D costs. But if they cut it to $1,500, think how many more they could sell to cover the cost of R&D. It's kinda like beer at a concert, $6 bucks a pop is a lot but people will still spend it, but think how much more they would see for $3 bucks a pop. Did you ever goto a "Nickel Beer Night" at a sporting event? Same kinds theory, only distorted a bit.

Lately it seems everypost about them (by you) is knocking them for their prices, maybe you don't mean it that way but thats the way it comes across, mainly about the camshaft. Or knocking the camshaft in general about its fuel milage.



In case anyone is wondering, yes I paid full price for my camshaft and would do so again.

Kat, most of my post that your refering to, have they been on that East v/ West thread? I might have been knocking them, but I have not ment it in the way you are taking it I think, it's more for that thread.



I will take this chance to say sorry to all the guys at DD if you have taken back by my posts.



Like I say, I like them, and I am planing on getting a set of injectors from them soon.
