Boy! nothing but great things to report on my new injectors! A definate increase in power all the way around (just a tad more smoke) and less EGTs pulling the hayburners and the tack that goes with them, about 150 degrees on the average. The clutch seem to be holding so far, we'll see how long that lasts. Piers was right when he said the DD11s and the Ez were the best towing combo.

I'm jealous....

This is the combo I want. Unfortunatly I have to wait to get my transmission upgraded. The auto won't hold the power I'm afraid.

My other concern is smoke. Being at close to sea level I hope the II's wont be too bad. Can you control the smoke by driving normally? Does it only smoke when under heavy excelleration?

Inquiring minds want to know:)

DDIIs

I am real happy with my injectors and Comp box. What a great fealing when you put the hammer down and your gone  .

Whew !!!! Had to re-read that title, for a minute I thought that DD had come out with stage eleven injectors  :D ;)

Not to worry....

BWB... .

I'm at sea level. My EZ is still on setting 3 and I have very little smoke. I can send out a small plume if I hammer it with no boost, but it isn't enough to even bug the snail-darter crowd. Under "normal" driving, it doesn't smoke at all. You'll love the EZ, DD2's and Bill K's transmission.

This is all good to hear as I'm scheduled to have Bill K. install his TC, VB, DDII's and an EZ mid Oct. Can't wait! -Ken

I didn't say in the first post but the DD2s replaced the 275 injectors that were in there. Also no smoke if you let the boost build up first. I'm also noticing a about a mpg increase on fuel. What a deal!:D

Garrett(Big White Beast), I've got a customer in San Diego I just did an EZ, DD2's and DTT's transmission upgrades on about 2 weeks ago. He was concerned about the smoke, too. He's told me everything is fine so far. Shoot me an e-mail, and I can hook you up with him.

I noticed that the DD2's and the EZ had less smoke than the 275's with the EZ. But the Comp is also a great box.

Is there a different spray pattern on the DDII's? My 275's and puck can lay a very good haze if I want to..... sometimes can't see the little Honda behind me

New DD11s In Testing!!

LOL@Clark, good one :D  . Tell me that you took that pic. just for this post, gotta love it. Hmmmm, I wonder if we could somehow wedge in one of those water pic. adjustable massage showerheads, you know, the settings could be for towing, racing, etc. :p

LOL I didn't take that pic sorry. The amount of info you can find on showerheads on the net is kinda scary. I located that pic in less than 3 minutes! I figured I would have to dig for a pic of a shower head in use.

I guess the new adjustable injectors could be called the DDwhatevers ;)

MAP Sensor

Quoted by Diesel Freak: "My 275's and puck can lay a very good haze if I want to..... sometimes can't see the little Honda behind me"

Cliff, I think you MAP sensor is whacked out, based on how yours smokes and your post about reading 6+ volts at 0 boost with the scan tool. If you ECM thinks there is boost when there isn't, then you'll definitely get smoke.

My DD2s smoke more than the RV injectors they replaced, but not much. I love 'em a lot :) They don't smoke much unless I hit it off of boost, or it's over 90 and I'm running the A/C. Now with the BullyDog CPC installed I can get it to smoke pretty good, but not enough to completely engulf a lil' Honda-car.

The thing I'm most amazed about running the DD2s and CPC is my stock clutch. I haven't been able to get it to slip yet. Believe me I've tried. Flooring it at 1800rpm with a 4000lb boat in tow getting on the highway hasn't been enough to get it to break free

This is a tad off topic, as I don't have the DDIIs in yet, but with the EZ on 3 and 7000' altitude, sweet jesus the smoke really rolls out!

I visit my home town of Flagstaff, AZ every month or so, and I'm amazed at the haze! I bet it really bugs the tree-huggers up there as I engulf them in unburnt #2! :D :D

It's good to hear the DD II's and the PE work so well on the ETH. Eventually that's the setup I plan on, with maybe Piers worked HX35 turbo.

I currently have a BD turbo mount exhaust brake and a straight pipe on the factory exhaust. Any idea if the E brake may cause problems with EGT's?

I disagree I think the DD11's smoke less then the 275's. I went to timberline and drive 24VL DSL truck and we had the same modes except he had the 2's and i have the 275's. His smoked far less then mine does when u get on the peddle.

Less smoke

When I first put my DDII's in I could leave a cloud that would make people swerve to miss it, then I put the 4" exhaust on and it cut it almost in half, to tell you the truth I kind of miss it.
