Hi Rusty! Glad you got them in! I know you will like the combo. I feel the timing is a wee bit much with the setup, but it seems to be working quite well, and I know that a lot of other guys have had success with our setups.
The injector install is something that seems pretty daunting at first, but once you do it, you wonder what you were so afraid of
I would recommend moving the jumper on your EZ to the tamest setting. You won't lose any power (just a "feeling" of power), and it's easier on the clutch. On the tamest setting, you'll have all the fuel you can burn, and be a little more driveable. ESPECIALLY the cruise control.
Do you always start in first gear when driving? I do, and it has kept my stock clutch alive thus far, and I have the tall axle (3. 55).
I am surprised that you can hit 34psi! Most I have ever hit was 32psi, both at lower elevation and when towing 5K or so. One would think that the 4. 10s would make less boost than the 3. 55s, but this doesn't appear to be the case, does it?
Most boost I ever hit with JUST the EZ was 26 psi. I think because my truck is lighter that the engine doesn't have as much load, thus lower boost numbers.
Your EGT numbers are nice and low. I could hit 900 POST turbo when towing in the thin air. Now that cooler weather is here, I can't get it over 700° post if I try. This is at 6100' here in Cheyenne.
I think the EZ+2s combo is the best, most economical upgrade package. You end up not needing 4" exhaust, no need for an air system, sometimes no need for a new clutch, etc etc. You can keep the HX35, too, and still have manageable EGTs while keeping the turbo on the map (<35psi).
It's a great setup. Most people report better mileage, but I find myself using more pedal than I need, so I haven't noticed any gains nor losses.
