DD3+ injectors and emissions

In order to to renew my tabs I needed to get an emission test. So just for fun I went in without doing any de-tuning just to see what will happen.

What a surprise! Not only did I pass, but with a max opacity of 55 allowed, I only did a 3.

But I did not floor it when they asked me to do it in the snap test. Just went about 2/3rd throttle.

Of course, after I had my little sheet that says I passed in my hand, I pulled out onto the street to leave and punched it. I'm sorry, I had to laugh, cause they (the testers) were all just staring at this massive cloud of black opacity in the street.

Opacity test? I got yer opacity test right here.



My wife says it was a childish thing to do. And, she says, I will never grow up. You have no idea how much I hope she's right.

Hmmmmmm..... I think there should be a sign in your neighbourhood that says "..... children at play, caution vision restricted due to humoungous amounts of smoke for no apparent reason... . "



Then there was this guy who had POD's in his truck... he changed to some other nozzles, that flow more fuel, make more power, make less smoke, so he only goes 2/3 throttle on the opacity test cause he's concerned he won't pass, then smokes out the whole place when he leaves..... sounds feasable to me... . :-laf :-laf

Sounds if you guys are have'n all the fun with this smoke thing! Where's MY SMOKE! Seriously, if anyone out there in diesel land has a set of decent/used performance injectors which were swapped out for another brand, and these just happen to be collecting dust, give me a shout.



I'm currently working with my NAPA supplier who does my block/head work. Say they sell Cummins Marine injectors?????Give more flow, but I can't obtain any data such as size of holes/projected HP etc etc etc.



By purchasing these [and all components] through the school, I save a bundle. Anyone have a set to trade for cash or using Marine injectors in their rig?????

PODs and idiot w/cellphone

I was leaving the local store last night and was in the left turn lane behind a idiot yacking on a cell phone . The light changed and I had to beep the horn to wake him up then the clown (still talking on his cell) single finger saluted me and poked along almost making me miss the turn arrow. Then he made another Mistake he went into the right lane Window rolled down in his little clown car still in the phone I got on it as I went by blowing a bit-o-smoke. Funny when I seen him at the next light he was off of the phone and would not make any eye contact. I LIKE MY PODs MUAHAHAHA.
