On 5/29 I installed a set of DD3+'s in the old '93 and then Rip installed a 4" exhaust on 5/30. Before I go into detail I need to say that I found and fixed a leak in the line running to my boost gauge - this is why I was only seeing 17 lbs of boost.

The combination is awsome:eek:  as I was getting on I84 I was able to hammer it for a bit in 4th. Boost was 26 lbs egt's peaked at 700 and it didn't start defueling even at 70 mph in 4th. Smoke was not much more than my PW's put out. I hope to dyno over in Idaho on 6/7 and will post my numbers.

Now for the bad news Lenny at Dynamite Diesel said that this was the last set of DD3+'s that Diesel Dynamics will build for a 1st gen.

:( :(

A wild guess would be "..... not enough of a market to make them cost effective..... " :(

There are only a couple places that do much for us 1st Gen guys. .

Bob.

No more! :mad: I was just waiting for Bob to put his in and if his results were similar to hdm48's I was gunna get some too. :{

Okay this calls for drastic measures... .

BushWackr- Were going to need you to "borrow" nascarmark's dogs. How you get them . . well. . I'll let you work out the details there. I've heard your experienced with those kids of things. ;)

Formula- still have that unladen swallow? We could use that too.

I'll bring the pork chops.

We'll set up a "KDP" party with Bob. I'll stash the swallow under BushWackr's hood. We'll have Bob open the hood and when the swallow fly's out and distracts him I'll hook those pork chops to his belt. Then we let the dogs out.

While Bob is "busy" we quickly swap out one of his DD3+s for one of my old stock injectors. I'm sure he won't notice if we just do one.

Then we can take it to one of those shops that does support 1st gens for some advanced reverse engineering.

Whadda ya think? Oo.

Pork chops:rolleyes: swallows:eek: reverse engineering:--) .

Hold on guys this may not be a dead issue I told you what Lenny said but I don't give up that easily. Let's see what Idaho shows in my numbers. Based on Dave I should be in the high 290's for HP. Lenny also gives a free dyno with his injectors so after Idaho I plan on visiting him. IF these do good then I will see what we can do. These injectors cost me $700. 00 What I need to know is how many of you guys would buy them at that price. Time to put the old $$$ where the pie hole is:D :D :D .

I've had some time to drive around with these and they are stronger than my PW's but 30 to 50 hp - I'm just not sure - I need a dyno fix to be certain. One thing for sure they don't smoke as much as my PW's

BTW I'm pretty good with O/U so the swallows might not get very far. :)

:-laf pork chops

For now, I've had to switch to fat chickens and pig's feet

FYI, what I've found so far on prices for custom injectors... ... depending on how deep the pockets are, or how much you're foaming at the mouth... ... you can expect to pay at least $600 and up to $2500, with cores, of course.

Sean

:-laf Bob B. - I knew YOU wouldn't like my idea. :p

Sean- I'm not sure the fat chicken and pigs feet will have the desired effect, plus I wouldn't want to be responsible for Marks dogs chewing the turbo off BushWakrs truck trying to get the chicken out from under the down pipe.
