Just installed DDII's, a PE Comp and a 16cm. Egt's get a little out of hand, but talk about fun!! :D Unfortunately Edge's Dyno wasn't working so I don't have numbers. I was at 335hp before with a 370hp run under load. We figure I oughta be another 30 or 40 over those numbers, maybe more  If anybody is looking for mods, I have several left after the changes.

Brand New Edge EZ

Bosch 275 injectors

Banks 14cm with "big head" wastegate

Isspro 50lb boost

Isspro Pyrometer and thermocouple

New Stewart Warner fuel pressure gauge with dual senders.

If you're interested, let me know.

Powder Extreme... glad to hear you are happy with your mods! I haven't heard a bad word about the PE Comp... keep us up to date.

That is definitly the recipe for fun. Throw in couple of f%&ds to whoop up on and finish with an Isuzu. That would be more smiles per mile than you ever had  :D .

Powder Extreme, couple of questions: Are you using the HX-35 with the 16cm compressor housing? What kind of boost are you able to develop? Sounds like you're having FUN :D

Old Mods.

Hey what kind of mods do you have left over. . I'm looking for some mods, but I don't want to get the EGT's out of hand. I don't want to open a can of worms here. But what good is all that horspower if you can't use it towing or driving. I want something that will give me max USABLE power. . Maybe i'm wrong but can you use all that horspower for extended use? If so I'm bombing to the max with everything possible...

;)

He lists the ones he has left in his post. I think you should consider getting his EZ Edge, or the 275 injectors. Either one is a mild upgrade which is what I get the "impression" you want.

My current turbo setup is the original HX-35 with a non wastegated 16cm housing. It will normally run in the low 30's for boost, the SPA gauge has recorded 37 lb/psi as the peak.

The Banks 14cm is a replacement housing for the exhaust side of the turbo. Helps lower egt's and allows for more pressure than the stock setup even with a boost elbow. The big head actuator is what Banks calls their waste gate. With the waste gate hooked up it would build around 33psi with the wastegate disabled it would max out at 41psi.

Hv2hunt: with the EZ, 275 injectors, the banks turbo housing, and 4" exhaust, I could run full throttle all day long without the egt's getting out of hand. With that setup my truck would dyno about 300hp at the rear wheels.

Evan: I've come up with a couple ideas I'll be doing next week after I replace my d*$% lift pump AGAIN. I've gotta install something better, this is getting old. I still can't find the female end of the cruise control plug so I can hook it up as such that the factory cruise will still work when my box is turned off.

The "head" of the Banks Big Head is much bigger than a stock one. It is alleged to be stronger and more accurate. Is it? Who knows... maybe.

Sounds good, Jerry! I just purchased a whole slue of WeatherPack connectors and a crimping tool, and am going to be re-working some connections on my truck. This WeatherPack stuff is top notch, and CHEAP. Gotta love it!

Think you could email me some directions on how you bult your box? I am going to be leaving on a trip in about a month, and would like to have the cruise thing ready for it. Thanks! :D

Also, I will ask my electrical supplier if he can find a female end for that connector, but I bet it is going to be hard to find, if at all. The guy I deal with has found every connector that Dodge uses, so maybe I'll have some luck with this one. I'll keep you posted!

Hi Evan, what year is your truck? I know my new one uses alot of switched ground instead of switched +12v which makes the wiring totally different. Also if you could give me the name of that supplier, that'd be great. At least I could build the box to plug in really easy, even if the factory one wouldn't work with mine hooked up.

hope i am doing this correctly? (my first post) been learking for a while and have enjoyed all!

will a auto truck handle this kind of hp ? with or without a TC or VB?

thanks, GB

That number is kinda optomistic. DDII's + EZ usually = 300hp. Your prolly closer to 265 to 270hp.

Your transmission might last a lil while, depending no how you drive it. I would at least do a valvebody upgrade to increase your line pressure.

Jerry,

I have a 2001 with the vacuum-servo cruise control. THe supplier I deal with is Interstate Battery Corp, and they have a big warehouse where they stock just about any automotive electrical product... Everything from LED taillights to replacement connector pins for ANY vehicle. The guy comes by our shop every 2 weeks with a truck full of goodies. Everything is dirt cheap too. I'll email the number to you.
