OK, ok, without a doubt my torque converter is dead. But, I can still give my honest opinion of Lenny's injectors. He let me try a set for a week. And yes, I did try it on the dyno, and yes my poor converter-that-could,,couldn't.
BUT, I am very, very impressed with all other aspects of these units.
as in,,
Cold starting--instantly starts with no rough idle and reduced smoke even when not waiting for the grid heaters to cycle.
Throttle response--greatly improved. Slow speed to high speed small changes in throttle position make noticeable changes in engine response. Overall driveability is a pleasure.
Smooth-- I mean REALLY smooth, all the time
Sound-- this is one of the really cool things I noticed. The motor sounds crisp, sharp, kinda like a well tuned race motor, not the normal dull sound most first gens make.
Smoke control--normally, my truck will leave a light haze at about 2/3 throttle, now it is clean. This does not however include WFO.
Milage--seems about the same as with the DD3+'s. Maybe a little better.
Power--well, as I said before my converter is a dead horse but even with that, it pushes me into the seat with a vengence. I WILL be investing in a set of these even though I can't use the power because of how well it runs. And how much of a pleasure it is to drive.
