I am looking at changing how my Fass DDRP04 is mounted from horizontal to vertical. Any idea if this will effect pump life?
New mount I'm working on.

I've been inside that pump and I can't see where it would make any difference at all. There's nothing in it that cares about orientation.
I figure they mounted it that way to make it easier to change.

Mine is mounted the opposite of yours and it's been that way for several years with no problems. I agree, I've had the pump apart and saw nothing that looked like it would be affected by orientation.

Mine has a weep hole and I do remember it was suppose to be down but I'm hard headed and wanted to try this. but if it has to be down I will remount.

The image rotated but I want to mount it like the other pic.

I'm running stock, do I really need a fass pump or is there less costly a option that is reliable? I want to keep a spare pump for road side repairs but a 2nd fass is a lot of money to tote around.

As I was leaving work tonight, I accelerated, somewhat briskly , to get on the highway. I don't know what rpm, but the truck lost power, dinged and gave a check engine light. The moment this happened, I let off of the throttle and disengaged the clutch. I looked at all of the gauges, and display, and everything was normal. I eased the truck back into gear and got on the highway. I drove the next 10 miles home without incident.
