I purchased one of the "Ultimate Power Module" from DD and All I can say is WOW It really brought my truck to life! I was running an EZ with DD2's, but there is no comparison to the power difference now. PS: This unit is the same as a PE-Comp, it even came in the Poweredge Comp box when shipped.



It did take me longer than 20 minutes to install. I worked for a little over an hour to get everything just the way I liked it. On level one it is just like running with the EZ, but with the push of a button BOOM here comes the power. It does smoke more in any level above 1 (this is to be expected). On level 5 you can leave a nice haze behind... . The EGT's are much higher as well, I can see where if someone is towing a heavy load it could be a problem.

It appears that the Ultimate Power Module (and it's twin, the Power Edge Comp) combine the EZ and the original Edge into one box, which is totally adjustable from in the truck.



Reading their website, there are five power levels, and each of those five levels has five "responsiveness" settings (aka smoke). The box remembers each of the responsiveness settings so you can fine-tune it to your situation.



This thing looks really slick... I'm ordering one!

Does the DD ultimate power module install the same as an EZ?

The UPM and Comp both connect like the EZ, but they also plug into the injection pump in some way, though I'm not exactly sure how. It appears to be less complicated than, say, a PM3.

The UPM hooks up like the EZ + you have to pierce a fuel injection pump wire. But I was able to do this without removing any void stickers.



The unit is slick, really ups the horsepower . But it does smoke a lot on level 3 and above.
