My '01 and camper are stuck on Poncha Pass near Salida, CO. The clutch is done! I need a tow back to Salida, and recommendations for a shop. Any helpers?

Look for a shop that carries South Bend - at least they will know a clutch from a piston crown. Hod rod performance diesel shops is a good start. Not saying you need performance - I am saying these shops typically know what they are doing over a general mechanic shop.

It's a ways, but, Pueblo or Colorado Springs may be worth the trouble to get your truck to. Sometimes it is more than just a clutch and the shop's experience can save you from dropping the trans a 2nd time.

I found a place to get the clutch in. I had a CON FE South Bend clutch sitting on the floor of the garage in the original packaging for 10 years. The receipt says July of 2005. It was getting tired 10 years ago!!! Stock clutch lasted that long! Not a lot of miles, but the camper and truck together weigh about 12 1/2 thousand. Thanks for the help!
