Archived Dead Pedal in Indiana...trying to go to MN

Duluth Diesel (Chuck) left his safe warm home in Wisc to go help the Hurricane victims in Lousinana. He is on his way back but has started to get Dead Pedal every 5 min or so. He is in Illinois right now on his way to Champaign to drop off his sister and a small trailer. From there he is on his way to Superior Wisc. We are both afraid the VP is giving up the ghost.



Should that happen, he may be stranded on the side of the road. The truck is in warranty, but he would like to make it home. He told me he is gonna drive it till it dies. I have told him to not shut off the truck, as that might be the kiss of death to the VP.



If there is anyone along the way that could possibly be willing to give him a hand, please let either of us know.

Schied's diesel in Laffayette are experts in diesels. They have a shop in Terra Haute I think. They were going to hold a VP44 for me until I found out if the dealer in Monticello would change it out.



The dealer in Monticello helped me. A really GOOD dealer! I have many mods and had 0216 codes and they changed my VP44.

Well last I talked to him... . about 4 hours ago, everything was a bit better. He dropped the small trailer, and some supplies at his sisters place in Champagn Illinois. He was still headed north, and figured to be in Wisc within an Hour. He said it was running a little better without the trailer. The one thing he noticed and I forgot to mention was the truck was running a bit warmer than normal, now that he dropped the trailer it seems to be better.
