Last week i was getting apps code dealer replaced they said evey thing else was good. I was going to corpus this week and came up on a wreak so i kick off cruse jumped off the shoulder and got around the traffic and back on the highway i Begin to accelerate and about 45 -65 i got a dead pedal i took my foot of and tried again and nothing did it once more got it back no problems for the rest of the trip. a code came up 1693 which is a companion code

I came back to SA and now its doing it more often dealer said they can look at it monday I believe what i am experiencing a dead vp or lp . when i change the fuel filter it takes a act of Congress to get it primed but it comes around.



So what do you think ?

I only have 20k left on my 100k warranty is there any thing else i should make them check they only seem to do what i tell them .

If you're having a hard time starting after filter changes it may be time for a lift pump. You better do it quick before it's too late.

What is the Fuel Pressure? No gauge? I'd install one A. S. A. P. !! This will clue you in on the operating condition of the lift pump..... spend roughly $100. 00 now or up to $2000. 00 later- when the lift pump goes out it will take out your VP-44 eventually- even qwicker when the VP-44 is run with a trickle supply of fuel from a on the way out lift pump... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... :{

I took a look at the code once more and found the P0216





Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure and the 1693



i talked to the dodge guys and they said see you monday they said lp and vp to be replaced.

I was all ready for the monday trip to the dealer so i took of the super chip and came up with and error on the reprogramming it said to remove fuses under the hood so i did that and got the original factory settings back on line. I looked for the codes again after all that and they where gone talked to to the dealer and they said no codes no replacement. I have not had any more problems since.



One thing is i did pull a trailer the day i had all the problems . I for got to put the super chip on a towing mode would this be my problem.

I have not had any codes show up nor any problems since the reprogram. i have put the super chip back in just have not towed any thing without putting it back to towing mode,

I do not have gages but plane to do it next week have not looked at what kind to get yet ether but that is another post in itself.
