My ip died last week, I have Superchips programmed on my truck. My question is- do I have to return program to stock before replacing the ip??? Will it mess things up if I don't return program to stock??? Thanks

I am not sure if it will mess your pump or the programmer up if you don't, but it is easy to restore stock. I would go ahead and reprogram the stock setting then just redo after changing the pump.

I had already unhooked the batt and wiring harnessess when I remembered the superchips. I called and spoke with a tech at superchips today and he said that there wouldn't be a problem with installing a new ip with the programming in place just as long as it wasn't the dealer doing the work. thanks for the advice.

Not sure if the superchips does this to all 24 valves, but I used to have it on mine, and it was giving it a really strangle idle. There would be times when I would fire the truck up and it would shut back down again, really freaked me out. I got rid of that thing and it acts normal, no injection pump failures.
