Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) dealer found no code but I did

99 that under load stalls and loses power, took to dealer and they found no code, but when I hooked my smarty programmer it found p0216 "Injection pump timing failure" and p1693 "DTC cleared in companion JTEC module". The loss of power and almost a dead pedal feel is that what happens with a injection pump failure?? Good lift pump with 10 psi consistent and the injection pump has only 30,000 mi on it. also with the 216 code thrown is the injection definately on its way out??

My LP had 14. 7 idle, 12 @2500 RPM. Dead pedal, etc. 216 = death = $$$$$

I'm now the proud owner of a new VP and LP, plus the Vulcan 1/2" line and relo kit, plus the in-tank Super Sucker pickup kit.

If your dealer cannot find a code, then you DEFINITELY need a different dealer. That 216 is trouble.

I am going to assume that this is for warrantee work? Sounds pretty suspicious to me.
