Fellow Rammers:

My friendly neighborhood 5-Star replaced my VP-44 and LP at no charge w/ 41K on the clock. I turned it in around 2:00 PM on Fri w/ no appt. They squeezed me in, tested and diagnosed the problem was VP-44 going bad. Svc manager asked me if there was anything he needed to know about the truck. I told him i have bigger injectors and had run a fueling box on it. They ordered both pumps on Monday, got 'em in on Tues and called me at 8:20 AM today that it was ready. I asked if there was any charges, and hes aid: "Nope, all covered under warranty. " Everything under the hood was spotless and neat.

Folks, this is what service is all about.

Happy Trails, Wiredawg :D

Proably want to consider changing your ID before DC finds out what has happened. Some service writer will probably loose his job too.

I believe you are right about the honesty thing. I've dealt with contractors and customers for 28 years and I know I'll work with honest, sincere folks in every way I can.

This dealer has been around a long time and believe he has lots of pull w/ DC. I've bought two trucks from them and they do a lot of repeat business.

As always, honesty is the best policy.

"... . and they know if they can keep you happy you just might be back for a 3rd, 4th, maybe even more. I'll also bet you don't stand over their shoulder and treat them like they don't know anything, either. "

Yep, everything you said! Also, I told service writer I was sending a letter of appreciation about their great service and that seemed to really make his day. All to often, we are ready to complain when things go wrong, but do nothing when we recieve great service. It make folks feel good when they are appreciated. This may be going overboard, but I'm going to treat the whole service department to pizza. They saved me about $3K.

During this whole situation, there is not one single thing they could have done better.

DC may have awarded them 5-stars, but I awarded them a gold star. :)

Well, today we start our trek to May Madness, so hope to see ya there.
