Just got back from my 3rd trip to the dealer. This time for oil & filter change, lube and tire rotation. I had planned in the beginning to do my own oil changes, etc. , but when the dealer gave me 10 free oil & filter changes when I bought the truck, that's worth too much to blow off. I always check their work afterwards and have never found anything wrong or undone. I have read many posts about shoddy work at dealers, but, so far, I am happy with these guy's work. Additionally, they had me in and out of there in 40 minutes which also is good for my sweet disposition. Met a guy there today from Mountain Home, Ark. who was in for his first free oil change and I clued him into the TDR. He said he was definitely going to join. Name of the dealer is Mike Quinn Dodge in Tulsa. Just my $. 02 about this dealer, but so far, so good!

I agree! Took my truck in the other day for a coolant noise(yes you read that right lol) TSB and to have a door adjusted because of some wind noise. They called me at noon saying the truck was ready to be picked up. I didn't buy the truck there, I actualy bought it used from Land Rover but they still took great care of me. My dad has been having cars serviced there as long as I can remember and always had good luck also. So I think we can say we have a good one lol

My dealer gives away free oil changes for life. On at CTD, that's not a bad deal. I go in tomarrow for my first one so I'll see how it goes. After break-in I plan to switch to synthetics, so I assume I'll have to supply the oil. I think that they may chrage for the filter. I don't do my own oil changes any more, so this was pretty attractive to me.

What's a coolant noise sound like so I'll know if I ever have one????? If I do get one, what do they do about it?????

The last time the dealer touched my truck was for a complimentary oil change. I was lucky enough to be able to see the 'moron' pull the oil filter out of the box and screw it on with no lube of gasket or filling the filter first. I immediately got the service advisor and made them take the filter off and install the proper way. Guy looked at me like I was crazy when I said it needs to be filled with oil before install. Since then I do my own.

It was TSB on some of the 98 and 99 only trucks I think. Its wierd sounded almost like a transmision whine, annoying whir type of noise anywhere over 2000RPM. So I was off work one day and stoped by to make an appt. and ended up having one of the service managers ride with me. He knew what it was when we got out on 11th... even over the K&N RE-0880 filter with no silencer ring lol. They ordered the part and sent me a card when it came in.

One of our company trucks had a sloshing fluid noise since new. It was a 89 Chebby 4x4 Silverado with the 350 auto. After taking it back numerous times the problem was never fixed. So 10 years later we finally get around to serviceing the truck. I change the oil which was like Kayo syrup, air filter which had no paper left and added almost a gallon of antifreeze which took care of the sloshing fluid noise. Imagine that!!!
