How do I convince the dealer my VP44 needs replaced. They keep giving me the run around. They replaced the LP. Still keeps coming back with code 0216. Had that code before LP was replaced. Got 69000 miles. I got a dead pedal while going home from LP replacement, turned around went back to dealer, said I would need to make another appointment. Had my truck for 3 days because they didn't have a LP in stock. How long should a IP take for them to replace??

Thanks,

David

Where are you

David tell us where oyu are and someone can probably recommend a better dealer near you. 0216 is a non-negotiable dead vp44 and should be replaced. It can be done in a day but parts can take a while.

When did you first see the code show up? Because I have been pulling codes and got nothing, some have said my problems (see my thread in this forum) are linked to a bad VP44 but I got no codes over the life of the truck.

I second finding another dealer. If they want to be a horse's *** not much to

do about it, but someone else will be glad to replace it. I carried mine in for a

216 and dead pedal, and they didn't even look at it - just asked when I wanted

it done (LP and VP44) I decided to wait till it got worse, still got a lot of warranty

left. My reasoning, the longer I can make this one last, the further down the road

when # 2 craps out...

I'm in PA. Berks county near Allentown.

My trouble started in May. Checked the codes before I took it in cause I don't trust dealerships. Codes been there for about month now.

Thanks
