Harley- Davidson, don't you know this is a Recession?

How many TDR'rs (is that correct?), are heading out for Death Valley for Thanksgiving?

Many, many years ago my parents and I went to "Dirty Socks" (it's a hot springs) and I've been trying to find it for about 10 years. Found it tonight!

We'll probably head there and explore.

Anybody up for an adventure? Cummins engines and a topo map, does it get any better?

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to explore Death Valley, the weather is great. The Saline Valley hot springs in the NE part of the park is a good destination if you don't mind 90 miles of a sometimes funky dirt road. If it happens to rain you can even get trapped back there. Dirty Sock (scroll down) is out west of the park just off the main hwy to Olanca, it is out in the wide open desert, water is sort of a puke green, I personally wouldn't go in it. The Saline Valley springs are large, clean and have many large shade trees, something you might need even in late Nov. I'll probably be heading there in Jan. Have fun!!!
