I almost ordered it today but am still on the fence. Basically it will be a tow rig but I will play with it when possible. I cannot for the life of me commit to either of these turbos. It is either a HTB2 62/14 or 64/14. Mods are . 191 DV, 370 injectors, #10 forward, 4KGSK, AFC, 4" exhaust, BHAF, Goerand transmission. Which way should I go?

If you still have the 160 pump in that truck, and are planning on keeping it, I would just say the 62/14 would be enough, especially since you tow a lot.

I just spent a month researching the same thing. How heavy do you tow???

The generall consensus was the 64/14 will most likely surge and the 62/14 may surge. I have a 180 HP pump, not sure how much diff that will make???

I went with Dynomite Diesel's HEX 60/14. no surge ever and it moves alot of air for it's size. They also sell HTT and recomended this turbo for heavy towing. I tow a 12k fiver. Good luck with your decision. The more people you ask the more different answers you will get. It will turn your brain to mush :D

I finally called Lenny @ DDP and went with his recomendation. I was very happy with there injectors so i went with the turbo the recomended. It works awesome!

The majority of my towing will be a 18 foot simple flat bed car hauler and a 3000-4000lb car or 4000-5000lb jeep. Figure the trailer at 1600 or so and I am not towing very much at all. I am looking at a slide in camper as well but that can't much more than another 1000 or so. With a well working truck I am sure there will be chances to tow more but very rarely.

What rear gear ratio do you run?

Truck came with 4. 10's. I generally tow at or below the speed limit so RPM shouldn't be a problem but I have considered 3. 73's, I love them in my buddies truck.

Towing that lite gives you more options as far as turbo's go. I would go with the 62/14, but that's me. It's a tough decision.

With 4. 10s it will be more enjoyable to run the 64/14 than if you had 3. 54's. . I would lean towards the 64/14, like I said before.

I run 4. 10s with my SP 66/14 & am very happy with the combo.

the surge is nasty on mine with any climb. i tow a 6x12 enclosed trailer that usually sits around 4k. not sure if turning the fuel down will help or not.

I run a htb2 62/14 and tow a 14,000 lb 5er it moves alot of air :D it's a sweet set up, give chris a call at RIVER CITY TURBO(501-562-7488)

He knows turbos !! tell him kelly sent ya :-laf
