I have an 03 dually SO motor with the 47re transmission. I'm ready for the smarty.

my question, i plan on using the Smarty in addition to my Edge EZ. Do I NEED a fass or glacier pump to keep the fuel pressures up or will I be OK without? I do not want to do anything that wil hurt the longevity of my truck. If I NEED the pump before adding the Smarty I'll wait before buying the smarty until I have one installed.

FYI - i have already installed a Goerend triple disk converter and Dunrite valvebody.

thanks

It will pull down the rail but not ALOT. I just installed my GDP Fuel Boss after running a Smarty and MP-8 for a year.

That depends really on what you want to do with your truck. What kind of power do you want to make? Is the smarty going to be for casual stop light racing? Or for more power for towing?

I won't be racing. I want more power for towing. There are some hills that pull my mph down more than I like when pulling fifth wheel.

I think I will be pretty much done after I make this upgrade. I don't plan on ever going to twins or anything like that. I do however want to be able to use all of the settings on the Smarty. I don't want to be afraid to take it all the way up. Can i do that with my setup? or am I asking for trouble?

Do the pump, the stock lift pump sucks. Ypu will deffinatly need it with a tuner and a box. Trust me I found out the hard way. See the FASS 150 in sig. I didnt insatall cause i wanted to.
