I have a PML deep transmission oil pan. This pan did not come with an extended oil pick-up to use the cooler oil at the bottom of the pan. Does anyone know where I can get an extended oil pick-up to use with the PML pan? I thought about Mopar Performance but right now the style of filter on the 48RE escapes me (i. e. old 727 filter and extended pick-up). Help!!!!

I doubt you'll find any such item commercially available... you're probably best served by a custom job.

Thanks for the reply. On my race car I installed a deep pan from Mopar Performance and it came with an extended pick-up. The reasoning behind that and behind my question was the cooler oil is going to be at the bottom. I suppose another reason would be the possibility of a drag car uncovering the pick-up on launch. I guess what I'll do is buy a new transmission filter and figure it out. Maybe I'm all wet here, it just makes more sense to me.

I think you're going to see very marginal benefit.

Ryan, I'm thinking you're right. After doing some research this past weekend, Mopar Performance's pan and pick-up is more for the violent conditions of a vehicle pitch rotating not so much for heat. At least from the aspect of the extended pick-up. I'm going to leave well enough alone. Thanks for the inputs guys!
