A while back, i remember seeing a post about a auto transmission pan that was deeper and had a drain plug that was offered by mopar. I think the cost was around 160. 00. Does anyone know what the p/n was or were i can find it? My local five star says mopar doesn't offer such a thing. I'm trying to help a buddy out that has a 95 1 ton with a v-10.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Mopar Performance does offer a deep pan in their 2001 catolog,it says it adds 2 qts and is tapped for a temp. gauge. they describe it as a cast pan,# p4876443 A-500 4. 5"deep,p4876444 A-518 3. 9"deep and p5007348 A-727. Hope this answers your question.

I have one of the Mopar pans and like it. It holds 2 quarts more than the stock, pan. IMO, its a much better deal than the Mag-Hytec regular pan. MH also sells an extra deep pan, though.

If it is a matter of cost, TCI makes a pan for the 727 transmission that will fit the 47rh in your friends truck. It is an aluminum pan with cooling fins cast in the bottom. The pan holds 4 extra quarts for the 727, but only 2 extra quarts for the 47rh. Price from Summit is $130.

There is a TDR member who posted his results with this pan and he seemed very content. If you try a search your should be able to come up with the thread.

I probably would have bought the TCI pan, but at the time Woodlawn RV was running a special on the Mag Hytec for not too much more than the TCI.
