DEF filter

2017 ram 3500. Check def filter. See dealer appeared on my screen. Any ideas on this?

Well that’s a new one, there isn’t a DEF filter on 2017’s.

I also cannot find any reference to that message.

There *might* be if the truck is a Cab & Chassis. Too lazy to look it up, but Cab & Chassis trucks did utilize a DEF filter for a few model years.

C&C’s used them in 10-13 from what I recall.

Maybe a fluke. It flashed just for millisecond as I was leaving Houston. Went all the way to odessa and back to Austin. Never a problem.
