What year truck? If it's still under warranty take it in. It could be a computer flash or it could be the def pump. Or something else. Mine had p20e8 and 9. I replaced the def pump and it is working correctly now. Paid $999 on ebay. New mopar pump. The pump will run you around 1800 at the dealer and probably a total of $3000 for the repair. Make sure you clean the def injector nozzle while you are at it. Mine is a 2015 with around 79,000 miles

We paid $490 out the door for the fill and vent tube, def injector tube and DEF pump for a 2019. I have a good parts friend!

They made it back to TX from NW WA and averaged 400mpg DEF usage towing a 12' enclosed trailer. So all is well!

They filled to top here in NW WA and used pumps or pump after that to TX. He towed 80 lots of the time. Don’t think they got over 11-12mpg.

Guess I should clarify....but I think you know what I meant.

I meant that DEF consumption was high, and their DEF MPG is actually fairly low. May just be the DEF strategy on the 2019 and up trucks perhaps....

Seems high to me too, but the newer motors seem to use more DEF. I’d expect 600ish mpg on DEF with that load, but I also don’t run that tire setup.

My truck had an average of 500mpg with around 1/3 solo. I tow heavier but slower.
