Well, well, well. The survey is in and it seems that the Duramaxi is creating quite a splash... . so to speak...
It read in this page that 51 of 61 Cummins owners surveyed are going to buy a Duramax!!
Read for yourself, some of these may be TDR bretheren(heaven forbid).
I have a hard time believing this... Tell me they are wrong... . What say you?

Lil' Dog,
I have a 2000 Dodge with a Cummins which I plan to have around for a long time. Even though I have driven the Duramax, I am not going to be getting rid of my Cummins.

It says the survey was posted at this web sight? I didn't see it. I guarantee they wouldn't have liked my replies, then again, it probably would have then been considered "incomplete" and tossed.

I'd almost drive a Pord before a Cheby, maybe even a Datsoon. NO, had one and not going to do that again. And after what my friend is going thrugh with his 6. 5 POS Cheby... Ain't no Way!!!! #ad

I Love My CUMMINS / Ram

Mac

PS The way I calculated of the people they polled 171 people would not buy a Duracrax and to check against the group #...

16 CUMMINS/Ram Owners
102 PORD Owners
and 8
yes 8 GMC owners wouldn't buy a DURACRAx

survey???they didn't ask me, and as everyone in the known universe is painfully aware, my opinion is the only one that matters in my driveway... "C" don't stand for "crap",Chebby, or carburator (sp)--it stands for Cummins, at least until:
(A) I wear out this'n or
(B) I accidentally total it, or
(C) no Dodge Crewcab available and
(D) brand F goes with Caterpillar rather than neverstart or Detroit... that will be the oilburner of choice when I wanna make noise---rich

<font color=blue>If and when I wear out this truck I'll get another Cummins UNLESS they don't exhist anymore in which case I will look for who has a KAT engine, oops I mean CAT engine in it. I still am pondering dropping a Cat 3208 into an older 4x4 for fun.

Let people go buy what they wanna buy, all that matters is I am happy with my Cummins

I don't know where that info comes from, maybe one of those telephone surveys where they pay you 10 bucks as long as you answer the questions right. I don't remember Dodge putting on a Cummins tour like GMs Duramax Tour, maybe it's because Cummins has more than one engine that works.

"There's lies, damn lies, then there is statistics" [Mark Twain]

You couldn't DESIGN a less scientific survey if you tried. 51/61 are thinking of switching, is this significant? I think it is more significant that only 61 Dodge owners even wasted their time with it. Out of several thousand members on this board, and hundreds of thousands owners, 51 defectors isn't that big a deal. Remember - some folks do get lemons, and guess who is most likely to be browsing the Ford or Chevy boards - yep, those poor unlucky souls who got a bad truck or a bad Dodge dealer. The mass of happy Dodge owners didn't even know there was a survey, or we would have been standing in line. But we didn't know, so it don't mean nuthin'.

Hows our little survey workin out for ya now lil dog?? Seems a bit different than 51/61.

And true, the only way i'd ever defect from a cummins is maybe a big "Kat" oops... "Cat" heehee. .

Forget the Dope-max, Power-cackle, Isuz--eeeeeeuuuw, & OR EVEN A MERCEDES!! Here that DC?? No Mercedes! Its Cummins, Cat, or bust.

The biggest mistake I ever made was getting rid of my '99 Cummins/5spd. I love this '00,and damned if I ever make that mistke again. I'm gonna drive it 'til the engine dies, then rebuild it and drive it 'til I die.
