Ordered a Defiant Light Bar Yesterday, and it shipped today. Awesome. I ordered with my g/f's credit card, but shipped it to my house. Paul emailed me when he saw the different billing/shipping address to make sure everything was on the up and up. Super Cool.

I got the 4-Tab version that lets you keep your tow hooks. I also got some lights by Far Reach International on e-bay, they are 6", and come with a 130w and 150w bulb, and an upgraded 50amp relay (instead of a 30amp) Paid $190 Shipped for 8 lights, heavy duty wiring kit, and light covers. (gonna put 4 on the Durango I have in my signature)

Pictures before/after to come soon.

Darn JD, talk about flashing some body to move over. I was afraid with to much lighting power, I might do the same... :-laf

Yah, Chinese knockoffs for sure.

Those are the lights I got, but with a light blue lense.

We don't have much bad weather, no snow, minimal rain. I think they will do ok. The worst these lights will see is highway miles, some ranch driving, and about a 3 days of beach driving a year.

I will let you know how they do. I have confidence in them. I've seen Hella's, and they were not confidence inspiring.

It appears that this light bar also offers a bit of front end protection as well as it looks to be very well made... can't wait to see some pictures. If you can take some after it's installed but before you put the lights on it. I drove in the dark this morning for the first time with the Geno's Brite-Box working and the high beams on this truck are terrible, my 98. 5 was better. So now I need some additonal lights to help see the deer as we travel in an area with lots of deer that seem to like to stand in the road or jump into it about the time you get there. The wife hit another one in her PT Cruiser Monday evening on the way home so now it's in the body shop.

anyone have any ideas about some nice quality lights that aren't $400. each? like some nice far reaching pencil beams and a nice flood light

I have the Lightforce XGT 9. 5" and they kick some serious tail. They run just over 200 each. They are just as brite as my buddys $700 Hella HID's he put on his Pro Truck.

There sure is. Sol-tek is under 150 each and I did test them out in glamis, got alot of compliments too about how bright they were. Plus they are adjustable.

Hey Jake,

What, no story about the Lexus kiss. Could you find a Chebby to kiss next time? I bet you almost got it stopped.

hope all is well

Sorry for no updates on this thread.

I did install the light bar, with the e-bay lights. The Bar is incredibly strong. I used it as a seat often when I had was chatting with friends. The lights were very white, and bright. Lighting up a hugh portion of the road. We had the two outside lights pointing to the shoulders, and the other two pointing down the road.

I did get a few camera phone pics of the bar, but the quality is uber low.

Earlier this month (on my Fathers' b-day nonetheless), the truck was stolen in a busy parking lot.

We are waiting on paper work, and insurance. It had full coverage.

man that really sucks, get something done to the truck that you did the work on with the wiring and install and it gets stolen from you. I hope you get all your money back or find the truck in one piece.

Not to mention the AFE intake, Magnaflow muffler, 6" Tip, Running boards, Truxedo roll up bed cover, bed liner, tinted windows, and the rescently warrantied motor replacement...
