defueling?

ok i have an afe stage 2 intake, straight through exhaust and the turbo would spool up quick, egts were low when i pulled a 6% grade, just installed an afe bladerunner air intake and now it seams the turbo won't spool all the way up unless i put my foot in it and going up mt. pass (6% grade) my egts were about 150-200 deg higher. is this from the cpu defueling? think a fueling box would help or just take the bladerunner back off, i was kinda hoping for a little cooler enegine and mabye some mpgs with the few extra horsepower
