diesel fuel filter info Honorable long time Dieselers. Please educate me on what I need to know about changing the fuel filter on my 2004. 5 HO 325/600 2500 4X4 3. 73 thank you for your time and advice. . CRAIGER C.

Just my opinion but if I'm correct, the truck is still covered under factory warranty. I wouldn't want to "void" the warranty, or give them a reason to do so. At this point, and for this reason, I recommend the factory recommended change interval, which I believe is 25K mi. Or change it earlier, if you feel it needs it. I wouldn't go longer, maybe it's me being a "worry-wart". :-laf Just my opinion... John

1 year or 15K which ever comes first, thats my MO been doin that for six years with no problems .

Change my oil every 5,000 (dino oil) and the filter every other oil change so every 10,000. Works for me.

Watch the fuel pressure guage then you can stretch intervals, if you so desire.

I'm like Jim, every 10,000 miles. Seems like cheap insurance for the pump. Besides, if I'm on the road or I forget for a few thousand miles it's no big deal.
