I am thinking about replacing the stock batteries with the Deka battery 900-1000 CCA. Anyone try the deka battery yet? Thanks for any infromation, coobie. :)

Deka is one of the better, if not one of the best, batteries made... they are a USE-made deal too (I live not to far from a Deka plant).

My dad's been running them for two years now without problems... I have a Deka Deep-Cycle Marine battery for the RV that's going on 5 years old and still works well.

I have 2 "Dominators" in my truck. 4 years old and strong as ever. Daddy's got them in his fishing boat with 0 problems. We sell a lot of them for motorcycles, ATV's, and PWC's where I work. The power they get out of them is amazing.

hmmm... I feel like the rebel of the group... only ran one [bought it when another battery failed during a vacation and that was 6-7 yrs ago] and it was the worst battery I ever owned. No one locally carried them making the warranty thing more work for me, but Deka was pretty good to work with on it when contacted directly. Can't say they're all bad... just that the one I had was.

I ran Deka batteries for years when I had my '90' W-250,,they served me very well and was one of the few I could find that had enough CCA's ,except going back to the Dodge dealer,, never had any bad experience and lasted for many years. . I would recommend them highly.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up buying two deka (665mf) batteries 880 CCA for $201 bucks,I am going to install them next week. coobieOo.

They make Caterpillar and Freightliner/Alliance brand batteries. Best that we have ever sold. Warranty issues down to nothing since we switched from another brand about 3 years ago.
