Well i installed the DV last week end and the results was not what i expected. Since piers is out of town i cannot call him.

So i decided to ask on here.

My idle is rougher, and has a harder fuel knock. Are these typical results, i also notice some white smoke oin startup. The engine is rougher up to aroung 1000 rpm then above that it runns like a striped a s s ape.

Any thoughts

thanks

Adam

I wish I could help you. My truck also has a very hard fuel knock to it. I've had it so long, I can't remember exactly when it started. I used to blame it on the 370's combined with our small pump.

Several months ago I removed the 370's and my fuel knock was still there just not as aggressive.

Maybe it's the delivery valves?

Good luck finding answers. Keep us posted.

A little off the topic of delivery valves here, but a question about timing and fuel. If more fuel is added (DV, injectors, ect... ) if the timing is not advanced to compensate, would the truck start harder (more cranks to fire)?

Thanks for the info,

Ryan

We have been installing Delivery valves, for about a year now and still no consistant patterns as to how they affect drive ability.

They always will make more power to some degree.

Some will smoke excessively and some will just flat out rip!

Some will smooth out and some will get rougher.

My suggestion is to pull the pump and have it calibrated by a qualified pump shop that handles performance upgrades.

We work closely with a pump shop and do these alot.

Once calibrated all the gremlins are gone.

We also offer exchange pumps at different HP and Rpm settings.
