Delivering RV's, 5th wheels, etc. for a living!

Does anyone deliver RV's, 5th wheels, Motorhomes etc for a living and use your Dodge/Cummins.

I am looking into it with Horizon Transportation.

There are others out there like Morgan.

Who else is there and whom should I stay away from?

Okie, getting a CDL is worthwhile even if you aren't delivering RVs. A CDL will open up many different jobs that you wouldn't be qualified for otherwise, especially state and county work.

Ok first you want to see what all THEY are going to pay. i. e. your fuel tax, fuel sur charge, insurance, IRP plates,etc. 2nd: are they just 1 way or backhaul as well. You'll starve going 1 way w/o any back hauls. If your going to lease on with a company you will need to do the log book thing, scales, fire ext, Everything just like the rest of us poor souls. theres $$$ to be made..... Just check into it befor signing the dotted line. I make agreat living as a hotshot, but we haul it all up to 20k on the trailers. I hired a guy last month from Morgan who was starving with 1 way trips. Good luck, Mike..... I do agree with Bill, A CDL will open many more doors in the future.

I have received several replies for the transporting of my 1959 Ford Ranchero. I probably should have mentioned that I was going to be away for awhile. I just got back tonight from Paradise Island and Im checking out the responses.
I would want the vehicle transported by trailer. Delivery could be anytime in June or July. Ample insurance would be required.
