I love my 191's, but for $3++ per gallon, I am all about MPG, not HP... I need to get some 181's back in my P-Pump, as I feel this is greatly affecting my mileage. . I also think if I downsize to a 11 plate from a 10, that would help. The only thing I am concerned about is possibly not having enough fuel to spool my HX-40. . Give me some ideas and thoughts y'all!!

Tell me about it Chris... . I've got a home ground #10 I'll probably throw back in place of #0 once pulling season is over.

I don't see any injectors in your sig... I'd say if you tighten your AFC spring up some and slide that #10 back a lil you'll see a nice increase in mileage. I really don't think the $$ to get some 181's would be justified in mpg increases.

Well, I tightened the AFC spring, and slid the 10 plate all the way back... Not enough power (imagine that!). . What I mean is 11 PSI at WOT on the highway-- Not even enough to spool the 40... I am going to have to fine tune it tomorrow, and find the perfect balance. I may slide the plate just a little bit forward, but need to also tune the star wheel... WOT, and no smoke... That is NOT what Betty is about! As soon as I get her in the sweet spot, I will let y'all know... Till then, Having No Power stinks!!!

You can leave the plate full forward, if that is where it was before. Just play with the position of the AFC housing. It will have the same effect.

I've had the 191s in for a few weeks. I have not seen any noticeable change in mileage. The plate is full forward and the AFC spring is asa loose as I can get it, without taking the AFC housing apart.

Chris, I hear you on the $3. 00 crap but you shouldn't have to change the plate position or AFC if they are setup correctly, that's all based on your foot and when you step on it. The DV's should be dropped back to 181's though, I run them also but have a set of . 022's in the parts box and it takes what 30 min to change them.

If the injectors are original, I think it would be wise to have them tested. Pop-off PSI and spray pattern. May want to have new tips installed at minimum. The better the fuel atomization, the better. Will get a more complete burn, and should run a little smoother and help mileage a little bit.

I gained mileage with the 370s I put in. If nothing else, they were new, and didn't have over 170k miles on them like the stockers did. Truck starts better, too.

I dont Know about that???

I don't think the 191's hurt your mileage, I think it is in all how your right foot is too. I have 191dv's, 370 injectors, street cam, lots of timing, big single turbo and I am getting 20-25 mpg on the interstate. I think the motor just dont have to work as hard so there for it dont use as mutch fuel, sounds good , just my thought. Justin
