I hate to ask this question, but I've searched and can't find a previous post with the answer so here goes. I have 22,000 miles on the truck now and am ready for my next oil change. I've been using Delo 400 15W-40W since the first change and would like to know if I should be using the Synthetic 5W-40W now that it's winter... ..... in SoCal. Coldest morning I've seen so far is 40 deg F. We're heading to the desert next weekend and will see temps in the 30's. I think the regular 400 is fine for lubrication, but want the best cold flow possible. I drained some cold Delo 400 out of my generator and thought it flowed like mud compared to the Mobil 1 I've always run in the gasser. Got me thinking about the mornings. What should I put in? Thanks in advance.
