Just got finished replacing the steering components on my '96 4X4 (Tie rods, track bar, tires, and alignment... NAPA still offers lifetime warranty on track bar). Steering greatly improved, but now I can see the box is where the wander is. Tried the over-center and input shaft adjustments with not a whole lot of difference. It doesn't leak, but I think maybe I need a new box. NAPA sells a heavy duty steering box (over 7500# GVW) for about $210. I've heard the Delphi box is a lot more. Is it worth it? I wonder if I would still have the adjustment problems with a NAPA box. I guess even on new trucks all boxes are not created equal. Some are good, some are bad straight out of the box. Is that true? Anyone try the NAPA box? 'preciate it.
