Anybody need a bridge?

is it a matter of trust

Just heard, on the radio, that Dennis Miller will not return to Monday Night Football next year. FINALLY!!! It was also mentioned that Dan Fouts is out too. Guys on the radio said that the line up will be Al Michaels, Madden & an announcer to be named later.

I don't know about you people, but I thought Dennis Miller SUCKED as a football commentator.

I agree with Joe. Since 9/11 Dennis Miller's views have taken a big turn from quite liberal to a guy who supports torturing terrorists to death without a fair trial. OK in my book, give him another try, I think most here may like him now. It was great to see him hammer a women lawyer on his show last week who was supporting lawsuits from unfairly treated "detainees" in Cuba.

might be schizophrenic. One night, he gets political, and PC liberal, the next, you might be able to listen without being insulted. Dennis is a typical Hollywood type, in my opinion; thinks that whatever he says must be what everybody should think.

Veryyyyyyyyy good ridance. Besides, I think John Madden knows more about football than most, and presents it in a non-judgemental way. He does not often ridicule calls, and has great insight into how plays work. Good call!

Monday Night Football will return to a two-man booth for the 2002 season. On Thursday, ABC Sports announced it has hired John Madden to join Al Michaels in the broadcast booth for MNF's 33rd season, with Melissa Stark returning for her third year on the sidelines.

This is right from the MNF web site.

John Madden will be great! I was disappointed when Dan Deirdorf (Spelling??) left, I always thought he was a great commentator because he presented the game from a linemans point of view. Not an egotistical ex-quarterbacks point of view

(read - Boomer).

I'm glad to see Miller go- he was neither funny nor informative. Madden is a class act, but what will Pat Summerall do now?

Kat- where you been hidin'? Long time, no see posts from! When y'all moving to Houston?

I been here and there... ;)

The move to Houston... . still not happening. The company is still studing the costs of which jobs to move and which to keep here. With their latest "update" chances of me going are prolly 10%. But with the railroad... that could change tommorrow... . never know.

Uh Huh

I for one am glad to see Miller go. He had a voice as grading as, as, as lets say J. Madden... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .

What about all those four legged turkeys that are going to have to give up their lives so some 300 lb. lineman can chow down on one of their legs after the game?

How about some compassion for those turkeys?;)
