Adding EGT to factory manifold

Hi Forum. 200k on this original starter. I'm envisioning starter drive that via the one-way clutch accelerates after ignition before disengaging from ring gear. Maybe a bearing or something else on this shaft that is making noise ? It sounds like a whistle whose pitch and volume lessens over 1-2 seconds. I have remanufactured Bosch unit, but would like to have this Denso unit reconditioned to keep on hand as a spare when the reman unit fails after 3-4 years ;). Can anybody suggest a place ?

Have you searched for a re-builder near you? A google search comes up with a half dozen or more for Connecticut. Start there and the research the ones you find. I found a place 30 minutes from me that I've got written on the workroom wall! Good luck.

Thanks for reply. Shipping is cheap even for a starter so I'd rather send to a person that is know regardless of state.

You could call this place near me. He's rebuilt a Bosch starter for a 4cly Renault in a skid steer. Looked new when done and was around $200 with new armature, brushes and bearings!
