Illflem is 7 - Happy birthday!

$'s to haul lathe from Menlo Park, Ca to Missouri (or Muncie)??

Latley, every time I open up internet explorer, I get this message.

Does anyone know what I may have fudged up to get this? It never done this before, and I dont know what I changed.

It's not the site, because it does it on every page I tried.

TIA

Eric

You can get to the proxy settings in version 5. 50 by clicking on Tools, Internet Options, Connections, Lan Settings. Depending on which version you have the location of the settings might be different and I can't say what yours should be set to. You may have to check with your ISP.

When I connect my laptop from home using my cable modem I have to set the proxy to my ISP but when I'm at work we have a direct connection to the internet and don't use a proxy so I have to disable proxy. I have a couple of batch files on my desktop that hack the registry and I just execute the batch file that is appropriate for the location.

Dave, I went there, it's on auto detect, just as it always been.

I dont know what version of IE I have, but the puter is only 6 months old, and came with XP loaded from the factory.

It's never done this before, I'm just wondering if I accidentally changed anything. :(

Oh... . duh... . I'm not on a LAN, so this shouldnt make a difference anyway.

My bad.

I did this with the "settings" button above the "lan" settings. Same thing.

Wait, I disabled the auto detect. Much better now!! Thanks!
