Is Newmar still in business?

poly glow, vert glass, new glass ???

My HitchHiker, new in 2007, came with them. I ordered the optional larger drums and shoes and understood the brakes would be self-adjusting but had never heard of forward adjusting electric brakes. NuWa advertising copy didn't mention that feature.

After I'd had the trailer a while I read a post or posts on the NuWa website that mentioned forward adjusting brakes. I was skeptical so I climbed under the trailer and copied the model number off the brake backing plates and e-mailed Dexter axle to inquire. I got a phone call the next day from a woman at Dexter who explained that they are, indeed, self-adjusting whenever applied when the trailer is moving forward.

A couple weeks ago I got an e-mail news bulletin from Dexter Axle with an announcement of forward adjusting brakes being available. I posted it on TDR.

I've towed the trailer about 20k miles and the brakes are still excellent without any adjustments required or made.

I'm impressed not only with the superior stopping ability of the larger brakes but with the fact that the brakes don't require frequent adjusting.

IMO Dexter makes superior trailer running gear.
