I am faced with a situation having set a few fields on fire from my HOT exhaust . I need to make some changes asking the dealer no real answer. However, there is a company called DFT Racing that is offering a dft delete kit complete for $ 850. 00. Does anyone know antthing abot them? Yes before you start I know it will void my warranty That is not the issue the heat is my main concern. DFT Racing does have a web site states for racing application only.

No offense, but using spell check would be great. Do you have evidence from setting "a few fields on fire from my HOT exhaust"? Or, were you just lucky enough to escape w/ your truck? This was a common concern for all OEM's when trucks equipped w/ diesel particulate filters (DPF's, not DFT's) were released for sale, but it has not proved to be an issue. You may be telling the truth, but it sounds fishy to me.

I recommend checking the numerous threads on DPF delete kits before posting another question.

I would not be surprised that these stock trucks could set a field on fire. I am surprised we haven't heard more cases like this.

No offense. Why is every time someone poses a real question someone always has to come up with sorry --- answer. I should have known my first opinion was the right JUST DO IT!!!!

That is the one reason when this subscription runs out I don't plan to renew. I ask a honest question and expected a honest answer not to be preached to. Thank you all .

One of the best features of TDR is getting a wide range of opinions when there is a lot of information unknown to the person who wrote the thread who is asking a question. I agree with you on one of the reponses you got, seemed to be harsh, but for all the good information you can learn from out weighs the bad. This web site had a lot of influence in the C&C I purchased and is where I learned of my B&W bed that I never would have known about. The dealer I purchased my C&C from, was using all of the articles I downloaded, for information on the 6. 7 to help their own staff because D/C seemed to be behind the ball in training their support system in late 06. I'll be sorry to see you go.

ASchuerg, its like anything, there's the good the bad and the ugly, we got them here on the TDR. Don't let the bad and ugly blind you from seeing all the good. I have a similar DPF delete kit, it works pretty well, but the CEL is staying on. However, the truck runs well. I'm still sort of learning about it too. For me I am happy to get rid of all the soot and fuel in the oil, so I did the EGR and DPF.
