Well, I had a turbo seal go out on me today on my 24V. I think the reason for the seal going out was because of the way I stored it while waiting for me to finish up my motor work.
I had the turbo stood on end. With the Cold side pointing towards the sky. A hint for anybody not planning to install a turbo soon after they get it... . Store the turbo just as it would be installed on the motor. The shaft should be horizontal, not Vertical like I did.
If the turbo gets done in time (Mailing it right today), and I get a couple bugs worked out,, then I'll be there. So far, even with a MAP sensor out, and the Valves out of adjustment, it moves out nicely.
What I did see of this new hybrid '55,,, it spools easily. Imporved from what my HX-40 was doing. .
The Texass LongHorn will soon be on the road again...
(Hopeflly in time for the dyno :-laf )
